Hi! I’m Yati Nasir… and I’m the alchemist behind Sweet Saffron Alchemy.
Lab Technician by day. Blogger by night.
My days are full — work, kids, housework, cooking and somehow, somewhere in between all of that, I formulate skincare, write blog posts and make video content… which usually happens at night.
I started this little corner of the internet because I believe every woman deserves to know what she’s putting on her skin, how to glow from the inside out and that beauty doesn’t have to cost a fortune — it just needs the right knowledge.
Why I started
It started with passion + problem (my 2nd daughter’s dermatitis condition back then).
I have always been passionate about beauty — not just skincare, but beauty from within. Beauty supplements, beauty foods, what you eat shows up on your skin — this has always fascinated me. But it was my 2nd daughter’s eczema that truly pushed me into the world of cosmetic formulation.
I was desperate. I tried everything on the shelf. Nothing worked. So I decided to really learn — what actually goes into skincare, what ingredients work, what ingredients hurt and how to create something that would genuinely help her skin. I enrolled in my first formulation course and never looked back!
That journey — from a frustrated mom searching for answers to a multiple-certified formulator with 9 years of experience — is exactly why Sweet Saffron Alchemy exists today. Because if I have this problem, that means many of you are going thru the same!

I do not do testing on my cat and all other animals. It’s not necessary.

I will never teach you to apply raw Essential Oils directly on the skin. It can cause serious burns.

I may talk about sensitive information such as being obese, tired, child birth etc… But I will never ask you to do crazy things just to look beautiful!

💄 Makeup tutorials? Not here, babe. If you’re looking for a step-by-step winged eyeliner guide, I’m probably not your girl for that. There are amazing creators out there for it — but Sweet Saffron Alchemy is a different kind of space.
✨ The “manifest it to the Universe” kind of content? Also not quite. The Universe belongs to Allah, so my approach to intention-setting and manifestation looks a little different here. You’ll still find purposeful, meaningful practices — just grounded in faith. It’ll make sense when you see it, I promise.
🍰 It’s not a DIY-only blog. I know some of you love a good homemade recipe but this isn’t exclusively a DIY space. It’s a mix of everything – DIY cosmetics, wellness, spiritual and lifestyle.
😠 Also not the place for negativity — and babe, I say this with love. We’ve all been through a lot. If you’re always finding something wrong, always pointing fingers, never looking inward — growth just can’t happen! You won’t find it welcoming here.
Definitely not for you if you always need some form of proof to whatever I say. If i say recite Selawat 1000x a day – you’re going to say which Surah, which line, which Hadith? Stop it already!
How to Read (and Experience) This Blog 📖🎧
Ok, quick heads up before you dive into your first post — because Sweet Saffron Alchemy is a little different from what you’re probably used to.
🌳 Most content out there is either all video (hey YouTube 👋) or all audio (hello podcasts 🎙️). And both are great! But that’s not quite how things work around here.
🌳 Sweet Saffron Alchemy is, at its heart, a blog. So yes, there is written content — real, proper reading involved. But sprinkled throughout each post, you’ll also find audio clips to listen to and sometimes short videos to watch. All of it woven together, right inside the blog post itself.
🌳 So to get the full picture, you’ll want to read, listen, and watch as you go. Think of it like I’m there in person, talking to you.
The good news? You don’t need to figure out what to click first or what order things go in. If you simply start from the beginning of each post and scroll your way down, everything will flow naturally and make complete sense. It’s all laid out in the right order for you — just follow the post from top to bottom and you won’t miss a thing.
It might feel new at first, but honestly? Once you experience it, I think you’ll love it.
🌳 Oh. One more thing. I don’t entertain haters and people who comment negatively on my blog and/or my social media. Either I don’t reply you at all or your comments will not even make it to my blog. Start one yourself and you can discuss it with your tribe.
